The namesake of the Shreveport shopping hub, the St. Vincent's Academy, was a Catholic girl's school that had formed in 1868. The structure seen here was completed in 1906. It was replaced by a newer building in September 1962. The present-day Dillard's at MALL ST. VINCENT occupies the site of the structure seen here.
