A circa-'75 site plan includes the mall's seven-tenant Convenience Center. At this time, TANGLEWOOD encompasses approximately 788,600 leasable square feet and contains around eighty stores. Free parking is provided for 3,300 autos.

During its early years, TANGLEWOOD MALL housed three mall-within-a-mall complexes. The first, known as The French Quarter, opened in early 1974. Second and third in line were a mini-mall and food court, built in a vacant Murphy's 5 & dime. Stores and restaurants debuted between late 1982 and late 1983.
