The Apache Corporation sold APACHE MALL in January 1977, with Dallas-based MEPC American Properties becoming the new proprietor.

Sears became a fourth APACHE MALL anchor in October 1991. The 2-level store encompassed 113,800 square feet and included an attached Sears Auto Center.

A circa-1998 layout shows two mall expansions in light gray. Existing store space (in darker gray) has also been reconfigured...taking in shuttered Red Owl and Woolworth stores. With these improvements, APACHE MALL covers around 760,000 leasable square feet and contains over 100 stores and services. The facility has just been acquired by Chicago's General Growth Properties.
