The Windy City's venerable Marshall Field & Company was one of three department stores anchoring the original complex. The building, which encompassed three levels, spanned 330,000 square feet.

The Seven Arches, an upscale restaurant, operated on the second level of Marshall Field's WOODFIELD unit. The name of the bistro was a reference to the seven arches that were over all store entrances.
