Co-anchoring the OAKBROOK mall was a gargantuan (365,000 square foot) Marshall Field's, the chain's seventh suburban branch. One of the store's features was The Oak Room, its upscale restaurant.

Maurice L. Rothschild & Company was a Chicago-based apparel retailer. The OAKBROOK CENTER location encompassed 24,000 square feet. It opened in conjunction with a new store at RANDHURST CENTER.
