A new owner came on the scene in February 2013 and announced a redevelopment in May. Demolition commenced in February 2014, but the project stalled out in March 2016. Meanwhile, a new Dick's Sporting Goods, Noodles & Company and BBT bank branch opened in the mall's periphery.
In an ultimate redevelopment, residential units would be built at the site, along with a Westin Hotel. Three freestanding restaurants would join the existing Olive Garden and Noodles & Company. A first stage of this project got underway with demolition of an abandoned Sears, in April 2017. New Orchard Supply Hardware and Floor & Decor stores were built.
