A large-scale renovation and expansion of PUENTE HILLS was proposed by its owner in 2019, but was shelved due to the Covid-19 pandemic and late 2018 shuttering of Sears. In spite of this, the Sears Auto Center (seen above) was gutted and reconfigured.

The old Auto Center became a 7-tenant strip of restaurants. These included 5 Guys Burgers & Fries, Jimmy John's and California Fish Grill.

We wrap up our PUENTE presentation with a circa-2021 site plan. The mall encompasses around 1,107,900 leasable square feet, with a tenant list of 113. There has been much peripheral development around the complex over the past 47 years. This added businesses such as Applebee's, Buffalo Wild Wings and Panera Bread. Stores no longer operating in the mall include Sears and Forever 21.
