A view of the fiberglass-covered concourse at MALL AT 163rd STREET. This type of enclosure was really the bees knees back in the 1980s. Now, very few of the malls that had them are still standing. WASHINGTON SQUARE {Indiana} and KA'AHUMANU CENTER {Hawaii} still exist. The same cannot be said for TOWN & COUNTRY MALL {Texas} or UNIVERSITY MALL {Arkansas}.

Ross Dress For Less was one of the big-box stores that opened as part of the 2004-2005 renovation of MALL AT 163rd STREET. The store occupies 30,500 square feet on the ground floor (second level) of the old Burdines.
