The mall's TigerDirect.com computer superstore was an early 21st century addition. The store started in a small part of the old J.B. Hunter-Jefferson Ward, on the south end of the complex, and eventually expanded into a larger footprint within that building.

A circa-2010 plan of MALL OF THE AMERICAS, which shows modifications done between 1992 and 2002. The original 8-screen multiplex has been expanded with six additional auditoria and the freestanding Winn-Dixie replaced by a relocated Home Depot. At this time, the shopping hub encompassed approximately 694,900 leasable square feet.
