Barnes & Noble, a primary tenant in the DISTRICT AT CHERRYVALE, began business in November 2007. A portion of the store was installed in previously existing mall space, with an additional section of selling area built as part of the lifestyle addition.

In this circa-2009 plan, we see a new J.C. Penney (2004) and THE DISTRICT AT CHERRYVALE (2007). The mall proper now encompasses approximately 774,300 leasable square feet. Factoring in the 75,000 square foot DISTRICT, there was a total of approximately 849,300 square feet of retail area in the complex.
