Two major shopping hubs opened in the SHOP-A-RAMA trade area between 1968 and 1973. The SHOP-A-RAMA persevered, but was in a downward spiral by the early 2000s. Demolition commenced in 2003. The Levittown WalMart was built on the cleared SHOP-A-RAMA site. The SuperCenter opened in July 2009 and featured the mega-retailer's new logo...sans-hyphen.

The new and improved LEVITTOWN TOWN CENTER got off to a bumpy start. A prospectus from 2004 included spaces for tenants that eventually bailed out of the project. However, the aforementioned WalMart was signed and the building plan amended. It took 9 years, but the open-air strip complex was completed with the opening of PetSmart, in 2012.

Greater Philly's moderne metropolis was served by the PRR (Pennsylvania Railroad) Levittown-Tullytown regional rail station. The terminal opened in April 1953. Today, it is operated by SEPTA (the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority). Known as simply Levittown Station, the facility was completely rebuilt in 2018.
