A physical layout of Greater Rockford's MALL AT CHERRYVALE, as it was configured upon its 1973 dedication. Enveloping 713,900 leasable square feet, the bi-level complex would eventually house over one hundred and twenty stores and services.

Sears became the first operational CHERRYVALE anchor, in September 1973. The second department store to open its doors was the Marshall Field & Company seen here. It made its debut in October of the same year.
