The mall's 28-year-old Montgomery Ward was shuttered in 2001, demolished in 2002, and replaced -by a 160,000 square foot Target- in October 2003.

May's Lakewood, the grande dame of So-Cal suburban department stores. It has been operated under three nameplates over the years. Following a 13-year Robinsons-May stint, it was "Macy-ated" in July 2006. Today, Macy's uses only a portion of the gigantic 4-level building.
