The Denver Dry Goods Company, "Where Denver shops with confidence." The CHERRY CREEK store, which encompassed 93,000 square feet, was the chain's first branch. It opened its doors in 1953 and was in business until 1987, when it morphed into a May-Daniels & Fisher ("May-D & F").

It took 30 years for the Centennial State's first mall-type complex to see fruition. Planning began in 1925. The 12 million dollar sales mart -not including an adjacent Sears- covered around 415,000 leasable square feet, with a retail roster of twenty-eight stores and services. There was free parking for 1,500 autos.
