A portent of things to come, or was it? In this tentative 2016 plan, we see a reworked north store block. Sears has been jettisoned in favor of a 3-level Target. The Food 31 Court and Cost Plus World Market have also been replaced by a state-of-the-art 9-screen cinema. Work was to get underway in mid-2014, but the project was cancelled. The mall owners went back to the drawing board.

A revised plan for the northern 13 acres was disclosed in early 2015. The Target store was nixed, with an open Lifestyle Plaza becoming the focal point of the prospective mall renovation.

Construction on the Lifestyle Plaza commenced in mid-2016. Everything in the mall's north store block was bulldozed, except for the Outback Steakhouse (shown in black). Around 300,000 square feet of retail, food service and entertainment venues (indicated in medium gray) open in early 2018.
