A RUTLAND MALL expansion was announced in the spring of 1977. By 1984, this plan had been rethought. A North Wing (on the right) would be added, This would increase the size of the complex to 384,800 leasable square feet. A tanked national economy, and competition from a new -and larger- Greater Rutland mall, caused the RUTLAND MALL expansion to be abandoned.
