Stores in HONEY CREEK SQUARE opened for business between October 1968 and August 1970. The initial anchors were Sears and a Terre Haute-based Root Store (a.k.a. Root Dry Goods). In mid-1971, the complex spanned approximately 448,500 leasable square feet and housed thirty-four stores and services under its roof.
