A Schenectady-based Price Chopper had been the first operational PYRAMID MALL PLATTSBURGH store. The supermarket, a freestanding structure built in the northwest parking area, opened for business in January 1975.

Magrams, a men's and women's wear retailer from Burlington, Vermont, established their first branch location at PYRAMID MALL PLATTSBURGH. The store, dedicated in April 1975, encompassed 17,000 square feet.
