J.C. Penney's PYRAMID MALL PLATTSBURGH store was dedicated in May 1976, signalling completion of the mall.

A Schenectady-based Price Chopper had been the first operational PYRAMID MALL PLATTSBURGH store. The supermarket, a freestanding structure built in the northwest parking area, opened for business in January 1975.

Magrams ["May-gramz"], a Vermont-based retailer of women's and men's apparel, opened their second store at PYRAMID MALL PLATTSBURGH. Dedicated in April 1975, said store encompassed 17,000 square feet.
