Developed by Minnesota's Dayton Hudson Corporation, COLUMBIA MALL included both of the company's major department stores. Dayton's was an upper-tier, regional chain, with Target being its discount division. The COLUMBIA complex featured the very first mall-connected Target. It would anchor the mall for 22 years.
