In 1965, LEWISTON CENTER was a strip-type complex, housing five junior-anchor-sized stores. This original line-up lasted until the mid-1970s.

The Tempo (Rasco Tempo) store went dark in 1976. Above, we see a full-page newspaper spread, from a July 1978 edition of the Lewiston Morning Tribune. It announces the grand opening of the strip plaza's new The Bon Marche, which replaces the vacant Tempo.
