QUEEN KA'AHUMANU CENTER basked in its position as Maui's preeminent shopping destination for 28 years. In the year 2000, commercial competition arrived. THE SHOPS AT WAILEA, a 161,600 square foot, open-air mini-mall, was dedicated. It featured toney tenants such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Company and a Tommy Bahamas Cafe.
