If you descended -via escalator- from the south end of the Mall Level, you would have ended up at the Plaza Level Court. An entrance into the lower level of S.S. Kresge is seen in the center of the photo.

The marquee of the original, single-screen Lenox Square Theatre, which was installed in a portion of the shopping hub's Market Level in June 1963. Considering the film being shown, the photo must have been taken in early 1965. And yes, that's an Aston Martin DB5, similar to the one driven by "007" in the film.

The so-called "merry-go-round" filling station was built as part of the 1959 shopping complex. It stood at the northwest corner of the East Paces Ferry and Lenox Roads intersection. Today, the J.W. Marriott Atlanta Buckhead Hotel stands on the site.
