Joel Chandler Harris, Junior, son of the author of the Uncle Remus stories, officiates at the November 17, 1959 dedication of a series of LENOX SQUARE statues. He is joined by granddaughters Linda and Annette. The works were sculpted by Julian Hoke Harris (1906-1987).

Depictions of Br'er Frog and Br'er Bear (on the left) and B'er Rabbit and the Tar Baby (on the right), as seen in their present-day home (at the Morgan County Public Library in Madison, Georgia). The statues were removed during the mall's enclosing renovation in the early 1970s.
