Atlanta's Lenox Square

Proclaimed "The Shopper's Showplace of the South," LENOX SQUARE was officially dedicated in August 1959. The open-air complex encompassed approximately 800,000 leasable square feet. There were fifty-five original stores and free parking for 6,000 autos.

The open Mall Level concourse at LENOX SQUARE extended for 1,000 feet from end-to-end. It was landscaped with crepe myrtles, Babylon Weeping Willows, flower beds and shrubbery. Along the way were fountains and pools, miniature pagodas, seating areas, sculptures and statuary.
