Dedicated in February 1972, LIBERTY TREE MALL filled space between existing Ann & Hope and Lechmere stores. In its original state, the fully-enclosed complex encompassed around 600,000 leasable square feet and contained fifty-eight stores under its roof. There was free parking for 5,000 autos.
