The shuttering of Sears, in September 2016, freed up nearly 300,000 square feet for redevelopment. The 4-level space was divided between new Primark, Zara, J.C. Penney and Burlington stores. Above, we see a rendering of the mall's Flatbush Avenue facade, which was rebuilt to accommodate the new retailers.

As the mall's exterior frontage was being remodeled, the interior was also redecorated. New soft seating was installed.

In a circa-2019 plan, we see Best Buy, that came into KINGS PLAZA in the spring of 2011. In light gray is the mall's Redevelopment Area, which houses the aforementioned Primark, Zara, Penney's and Burlington stores. With the completion of its most recent modifications, the retail facility encompasses 1,189,000 leasable square feet and contains over one hundred and twenty stores under its roof.
