Florida's Pinellas Square

The mall's original trademark. PINELLAS SQUARE was the thirteenth fully-enclosed shopping hub in -or around- the Tampa Bay Area, which was (perhaps) an unlucky number. The complex was only in existence for 26 years.

PINELLAS SQUARE had three anchors. J.C. Penney was dedicated -along with the mall- in April 1977. The Montgomery Ward seen here began business in November of the same year. The mall was completed with the grand opening of Ivey's, in September 1978.
