JAMESTOWN MALL, circa-2008. In the 10 years since the most recent site plan, J.C. Penney demoted their operation to an Outlet Store (1999) and Famous-Barr was "Macy-ated" (2006). An anchor's away scenario began with the shuttering of Dillard's (2006).

Center Court in the circa-'73 section of the mall. Here we see the fountain, an original fixture that was still in operation in 2009. In the distance is a walled-off South (Stix-Dillard's) Wing.

The J.C. Penney Outlet Store entrance. Plano, Texas-based Penney's sold off their Outlet Store business...closing several locations in the process. This operation was one of fifteen that became JC's 5 Star Outlets, in July 2013. Unfortunately, the entire JC's chain went under in late 2013.

Sears, the original north anchor, threw in the towel in January 2009. The remaining anchor at JAMESTOWN MALL -Macy's- was shuttered in March 2014, leaving the shopping center with no operational department stores.
